About Dr. Andersen

David grew up in Remer, MN on their family resort. He attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate and dental school. He graduated in 1992 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and moved to Park Rapids. He was married to Amy in 1994, and they built the current dental office in 2003. Dr. Andersen owned and operated David E. Andersen, D.D.S. P.A. until he sold the practice to Dr. Nelson in July 2020. Dave now works Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings at our office.

David has served on many community and state committees and boards, holding several officer positions along the way. He is a Past President of the Minnesota Dental Association. In 2005, he was selected as the Park Rapids Community Service Award winner and was honored as one of the Minnesota Jaycee’s Ten Outstanding Young Minnesotans. He is also a longstanding a Rotary member and is a former president of the organization.



In addition to his many professional commitments, David enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and their lab, Skyler. Whether it be hunting, fishing, or spending time on the pontoon with friends, David loves to be outdoors enjoying all the Park Rapids lakes area has to offer.
